Freshen Your Breath

Here at Crendon Dental Centre we believe that while dental hygiene is at the heart of great oral health, it is also the key to being kissable… bad breath can be the ultimate turn off when it matters most!

That’s why hygiene appointments are just as important as your dental check-ups as we can carry out a scale and polish to remove any plaque and tarter on the teeth. Most people will need an appointment every six months but your dentist will suggest the best time frame for your own oral health needs. How long ago was your last dental hygiene appointment? Perhaps it’s time to book one in before 14 February!

Banish stains!

For the ultimate sparkling fresh smile, air polishing is fantastic alongside a scale and polish. Using a fine stream of powder through a water and air spray, this comfortable treatment leaves teeth feeling smooth and clean. It also works well to remove stains from food and drink such as coffee, tea, red wine, and even tobacco, leaving you with a whiter brighter smile too. No one will be able to resist kissing you!

Get kissable!

What are you waiting for? If you want to be fresh and kissable for Valentine’s Day, book yourself an appointment with us. How? It’s easy, just call 01484 528153 and speak to our lovely team.

Anti-ageing treatments tailored to you

As we celebrate the arrival of the new year you may have noticed many people posting their ’10-year challenge’ images, selecting photos 10 years apart as an ode to the new decade. While this is all a bit of fun, allowing us to remember the good old days when we sported questionable hairstyles, non-existent eyebrows and interesting fashion choices, it also allows us to realise that a lot can change in 10 years.

Although all 10-year challenges will depict something different for each individual, one thing is certain for each and every one of us… we all look a little older now than we did a decade ago! While fashions come and go, a youthful, rejuvenated appearance is always something to be desired, which is why facial aesthetics treatments are gaining in popularity.

Facial aesthetics at Crendon Dental Centre

Here at Crendon Dental Centre in High Wycombe, we believe the best approach to facial aesthetics is to listen to each patient’s concerns. We create a bespoke treatment that works around that person’s own goals.

Through the use of anti-wrinkle injections, we can relax certain facial muscles to create a smoother appearance, reducing the wrinkles and crinkles that appear as we age. We also provide dermal filler treatments, where the product is injected into specific areas to plump and define, such as the cheeks or the lips. These treatments work very well in conjunction with each other to achieve the personal aesthetic goals for each individual patient.

New year, new smile

, Our News
With a fresh new year and decade at your feet, we’re sure you have lots of new resolutions that you are brimming with excitement about. Many people choose to ring in a new year with a boost to their health and fitness, with gyms up and down the country enjoying an influx of new members.

Your mouth is the gateway to the rest of your body, so if health is high on your agenda, don’t forget to give your teeth and gums some extra attention too. Start by planning to change your toothbrush or electric brush head every three months to ensure optimum cleaning at all times – we recommend buying enough in advance and setting quarterly reminders on your phone! Next up, make sure your dental check ups and hygiene appointments are on schedule, too.

Dental health and hygiene

Keeping up to date with your regular dental appointments allows your dentist to spot any changes at an early stage, before anything becomes more serious (or expensive). If we see something early on, we can usually treat it very easily. The same goes for your hygiene appointments; if we keep things fresh and clean for you, you’re less likely to suffer with gum problems caused by plaque build-up.

Great oral hygiene is the foundation of a beautiful smile. Once your mouth is in good health, you may want to consider further treatments to really enhance the aesthetics of your smile. Here at Crendon Dental Centre in High Wycombe, we’re pleased to offer a wide variety of treatments that our patients absolutely love.

Invisalign GO

With Invisalign GO, we are able to straighten your smile using clear aligner technology. This system is perfect for teenagers and adults who may have had braces in the past but are disappointed with a relapse, or those who have never had orthodontic treatment due to being put off by high costs, long treatment times or unsightly metal braces.

With Invisalign GO, we can change all of that! With no brackets or wires, just removeable clear aligners, no one will even know you are having treatment – unless you tell them! Why not book a consultation where we can provide you with a digital image of what your teeth would look like after Invisalign GO treatment?

Composite fillings and bonding

If you have silver-coloured metal amalgam fillings, replacing them with tooth-coloured composite fillings can make a real difference to your smile. Not only that, thanks to advances in technology, these fillings are now just as hard wearing as the traditional metal ones and offer a long-lasting option.

We can also use composite filling material to enhance cracked, chipped, worn, or misshapen teeth to create a more aesthetic appearance. For those with minor misalignment, we can sometimes use composite bonding to create a straighter appearance too. Many patients like to combine this with teeth whitening beforehand, for a really outstanding transformation.

Veneers

Dental veneers are thin, tooth-coloured, shaped covers that are fixed on the front of the teeth to improve aesthetics. Veneers are a great way to disguise things like gaps, chipped teeth, discoloured teeth, misaligned teeth or to improve the size and shape of the teeth to boost the overall appearance of the smile.

Teeth whitening

One of the most popular options is teeth whitening, as this provides an easy way to achieve incredible results. Whether you choose it as a standalone treatment, or combined with straightening or composite bonding as part of a wider treatment plan, professional teeth whitening is a safe and effective method of enhancing your smile. Here at Crendon Dental Centre, we offer two teeth whitening systems and your dentist can discuss the benefits of each to allow you to make an informed decision about the most suitable one for you.

Whatever your smile goals are for 2020, here at Crendon Dental Centre in High Wycombe, we have the solution for you. Why not give us a call on 01494 528153 so that we can get your smile journey with us started.

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?

When you think of Christmas, what are the first images that spring to mind? Perhaps you think of being snuggled up by a log fire enjoying a hot chocolate or a mulled wine, spending time with family opening presents around the Christmas tree, or maybe you wish for snow, feeling that lovely crunch underfoot on Christmas morning.

Each and every year, the bookmakers take bets on whether or not there will be snow on Christmas Day, proving just how special this is for so many of us. While no one can guarantee a white Christmas, here at Crendon Dental Centre we can guarantee a lovely bright, white smile for you to enjoy throughout the festivities – with teeth whitening in High Wycombe.

White Christmas

Teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments at Crendon Dental Centre because it is safe, effective, suitable for most patients, and the results are always stunning! So, how does it work?

Teeth whitening in High Wycombe

As a registered dental practice, we only offer professional teeth whitening products to our patients, systems that we have tried ourselves and trust enough to recommend. At Crendon Dental Centre in High Wycombe, we offer two different teeth whitening brands, Boutique Whitening and Enlighten, and your dentist will be able to explain which one they recommend for you and why.

You will always require an appointment first, as this allows your dentist to carry out a thorough check-up to ensure everything is healthy and suitable for whitening. In some cases, fillings or other treatments may be required before teeth whitening can begin. Your dentist will explain the benefits of each whitening system, before recommending and prescribing the most suitable one for you and your needs.

We will then take an impression that will be used to create your bespoke whitening trays. Once these have been made in the lab, you can come back to the practice to collect them, at which time your dentist will show you how to apply the whitening gel to the trays and explain how long you should wear them for.

It is important to note that this treatment will only whiten natural teeth; any dental restorations, such as crowns, veneers, and composite bonding, will not lighten. If you wish to whiten your entire smile, we recommend reaching your desired shade by whitening first and then replacing any restorations to match.

Did you know?

Teeth whitening is, by law, the practice of dentistry and only registered dental professionals can legally carry out this treatment. Teeth whitening offered by anyone other than a dental professional – such as your local beauty salon, etc – is neither safe nor effective, so do not waste your hard-earned money!

If you would like to enjoy a whiter smile in time for all the festivities that this Christmas has to offer, give us a call on 01494 528 153 to book an appointment for your teeth whitening in High Wycombe.
